Adriana Casillas
Graduated in classical and contemporary music, MBA and Executive Master in Agribusiness Management from ESMUC, Johns Hopkins University and the IME Business School of the University of Salamanca, respectively.
She is the President and Co-Founder of Tebrio. Tebrio is a Spanish company created in 2014, leading the industrial breeding of the tenebrio molitor insect and its transformation into premium products for the food market, plant nutrition, and other industrial uses such as the bioplastics sector, cosmetics, etc.
Tebrio has very disruptive technological developments patented in 153 countries, which, together with its innovative business model, allows it to be a company with a negative carbon footprint, with no methane or carbon emissions, with minimal consumption of natural resources, which has a great impact on the ecological transition of the country as well as on the digital transformation, all within an industrial environment whose goal is to redefine the value chain at a global level.
Adriana Casillas has more than 13 years of experience in business management. During her professional life, she has developed different successful technological projects both in the United States and in Spain, related to industries such as the artistic and food industries.
She is actively involved in interactions with the European Commission, EFSA and other European stakeholders for the proper development of the insect industry in Europe through her position as President of IPIFF, the International Platform of Insects for Food and Feed, based in Brussels.
