Jorge Llorente
He holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of León and is a career civil servant in the National Veterinary Corps.
In the Junta de Castilla y León he has held various responsibilities. In this legislature and to date, Director General of Agricultural Production and Agricultural Infrastructures of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. In this ministry he has also been head of the Agricultural Training and Initiatives Service, support technician of the General Directorate of Industrialisation and Agricultural Modernisation and technician of the Means and Livestock Management Service.
In the Regional Ministry of Health, he has been director general of the Agency for Health Protection and Food Safety, head of the Risk Assessment and Alert Management Service, head of the Environmental Health Service, head of the Biological Risks Section, technician of the Health Protection Service and veterinary inspector of Health and Consumer Affairs.
In the General State Administration he has been subdelegate of the Government in Valladolid, where he also held the position of Director of the Labour and Immigration Area of the Government Delegation in Castilla y León.
In the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food he held the position of Head of Section of the Health Alert Network.
In private enterprise, he has held the posts of director of the livestock company Valles del Esla, S.A. and director of the slaughterhouse in the company Núcleo de Explotaciones Agropecuarias de León (NEAL), S.A.
He has also been technical director of the livestock area and regional coordinator of the Remolachera Sector of the National Confederation of Beet and Sugar Cane Growers, in the Castilla y León Agricultural Association of Young Farmers (ASAJA).
