Alfonso Arroyo González
Graduate in Law from the University of Valladolid. He is the Director General of Energy and Mines and Director of the Regional Public Entity of Energy of the Regional Government of Castilla y León.
He has been a career civil servant in the Senior Corps of the Administration of the Community of Castilla y León since 2004. Since then he has held various positions of responsibility in the Autonomous Administration of Castile and Leon, in the areas of Economy and Finance and Energy. Since August 2019, he is the Director General of Energy and Mines of the CA of Castilla y León and Director of the Ente Regional de la Energía de Castilla y León. He is also President of the Association of Spanish Energy Management Agencies, ENERAGEN, currently the main instrument for coordination and cooperation between Spanish regional and local energy agencies. He is the Vice-President for Renewable Energies of the European Federation of Energy and Environment Agencies and Regions, FEDARENE, the first European network of regional and local organisations that implements and coordinates energy and environment policies. He is also Vice-President of the Santa Bárbara Foundation, of the Regional Mining Commission of Castilla y León and of the Monitoring Committee of the Economic Revitalisation Plan for the Mining Municipalities of Castilla y León.
