Begoña Pascual Marcos
Graduate in Agricultural Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). Currently, she is the Head of Area in the Subdirectorate of Innovation and Digitalisation in the General Directorate of Rural Development, Innovation and Agri-Food Training in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
She is in charge of bioeconomy-related issues in the Ministry's areas of competence (among others, coordination of SO8 and TO in PEPAC; governmental expert in the European Commission's expert group to support the implementation of bioeconomy policies; organisation of Innovation in bioeconomy conferences), in addition to the dynamisation and monitoring of the innovations developed by the line of aid to supra-autonomic operational groups of the AEI-Agri of the National Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 and the coordination work as the AEI-Agri focal point and the connection with other departments in R&D&I matters.
