Risto Poutiainen
Risto Poutiainen is the Deputy Region Mayor of the Region of North Karelia and had the position of Region Mayor years 2015-2020. He has a long work experience at the regional level in North Karelia, Finland. Mr Poutiainen have had the responsibility for regional strategies, EU structural funds, EU-affairs and international activities in the Regional Council of North Karelia since 1995 (when Finland became the member of the European Union). He has graduated from the Helsinki University of Technology with a degree of Engineering (Master of Science) in 1984.
